WHAT:               Shout OUT: A Tribute Concert to Queers in Sacred and Gospel Music

                            A Free and All Ages Event      

WHEN:              Saturday, October 14, 2:00 to 3:30 pm

WHERE:            LaFollette Park Auditorium, 1333 N Laramie 

INFO:               A concert with accompanying biographical information about some of the people who contributed to the vast catalog of church music.

Artists featured include: Rev. James Cleveland (“Jesus is the Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me”); Sister Rosetta Tharpe (“This Train is Bound for Glory”); Clara Ward (“How I Got Over); Billy Preston (That’s the Way God Planned It”), and many more. Shout OUT shines the spotlight on these artists who wrote, arranged, and performed songs that have been heard and treasured for generations!
