Please consider attending on Sundays at prior to the regular service.

Bible Study (On-Line)

Tuesdays at 6:00

We understand what we do as conversation, conversation with the text, with our ancestors in faith, with time (theirs and ours), and with God. That conversation is not a monologue. Every voice counts. Saint Martin’s Bible Study understands us as continually evolving in our experience of God … if we’re doing faith right, that is. That growth is nurtured by challenging unexamined beliefs and interrogating shallow understandings.

All are welcome! Facilitator: Fr. Christopher E. Griffin

Black Men Talking (BMT) Paused

BMT is a discussion and support group of same-gender-loving men, at least 25 years of age, who meet monthly. BMT begins with a shared meal followed by media presentations centering around the lives of black gay men or other marginalized populations. For the first year, the group viewed Noah’s ARC seasons 1 and 2 together to entertain and discuss related themes. Occasionally men will share their writings. The group ends with stories, experiences, testimonies, and struggles from their own lives.

BMT Elders is an additional monthly gathering of SGL leaders who are members of St. Martin’s, active in congregational life, and at least 35 years of age. The focus is on leadership and development of BMT activities, as well as mentoring of younger SGL men.

Derrick Dawson and Larry Nance were the facilitators for BMT. For more information, contact Larry Nance at afrikanaudio@yahoo.com.

Music Ministry

Make a joyful noise!”  “Come before God’s presence with singing,” declares the psalmist.  For centuries, music—congregation, choral, and instrumental—has been crucial to the worship life of a church community, and beyond.  Vibrant parishes have vibrant music programs.  We are a diverse body reflecting multiple families and identities.  We excel at an affirming philosophy and lively worship.  We build on this diversity and liveliness in our music and our voices.

All are welcome! Musician: Kevin Stovall
